My broad range of OBGYN care includes obstetrical/prenatal care, gynecological screening and a passion for treating the menopausal female. I always make sure my patients know that I hear their concerns and will be there for them. We will work together as a team to help develop the best plan that is right for you. I am very fortunate to provide care in obstetrics and gynecology, and to help my patients throughout their lives.”

Josie Dumond, APRN grew up in CT, and is a married mother of two teenage boys, and Bonus-Mom to two more. She graduated from University of Connecticut with her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, and began her career as an RN in Postpartum and Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing. After several years in bedside care and nursing leadership, her passion for women’s health and nurturing new mother’s grew. Assisting with lactation became the forefront of her education as she worked with both premature and full term infants within the hospital setting, as well as assisting mother’s at home. She graduated with honors from University of Hartford with a Master’s in Nursing Education and became a Nursing Professor where she lectured on women’s health, postpartum care and newborn care. Josie has presented at local conferences on topics that included “Increasing NICU Kangaroo Care”, and “Skin in the NICU”, as well as presenting at a national conference as a collaborator for “Reducing oximeter alarm desensitization”. She went on to graduate with honors with her Master’s Degree in Family Nurse Practitioner from University of Saint Joseph’s in West Hartford, CT and is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, NPWH, and American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. In her spare time, she loves to run, spin, garden, play with her two dogs and is a passionate baker.
