When to Call Your Doctor Right Away

Call your Doctor, midwife or nurse RIGHT AWAY if you have:

  • Bleeding from your vagina after the first 3 months
  • Sharp pains in your stomach or severe cramps
  • Fluid leaking or gushing from your vagina

Call WITHIN 24 HOURS if you have any of these symptoms

  • A very bad headache that won’t go away
  • Upset stomach or vomiting that won’t go away
  • Blurry eyesight, seeing flashes or spots of light
  • Bad swelling in your eyes and face
  • Itching and burning in the vagina
  • Feeling faint or dizzy often
  • Chills and fever or fever above 100 degrees
  • You don’t feel the baby move for 10-12 hours
  • Burning or pain when you urinate (pee) or if you do not urinate very often
